Natively constructed is the most delectable in any case and they're suuuuper simple to make! I strongly prescribe for your next football match-up or end of the week lunch! I pledge to you that your omnivores will have no clue they're veggie lover!
On the off chance that you would not like to sear them, you can generally cut your veggie lover sausages littler and fill your breading blend into a lubed scaled down biscuit tin and fly in your little cut wiener and prepare! Those are delish as well! In case you're doing huge corn hounds by not cutting your wieners, I suggest emptying your hitter into a glass to tip your canines. It makes your life way simpler.

- 8 pack of vegan hot dogs (I used lightlife veggie dogs because that’s what’s at my store but you can use any brand your heart desires)
- 3/4 cup + 1/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp each of salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder
- 1 and 1/4 cup nondairy milk (plus a little more depending on the humidity, you may need to thin out your batter just a titch)
- Oil for frying (I use vegetable oil because it’s fairly cheap) and toothpicks for your wieners
Directions:
- Start preheating a good bit of oil in a pot on about medium/medium high heat.
- Cut your wieners into thirds and set aside.
- Put 1/4 cup of the flour in a bowl and set aside.
- Mix all the rest of the dry ingredients together in a medium size bowl.
- Add all of the nondairy milk and whisk. Sometimes you may need to add an extra tablespoon or so of the nondairy milk depending on the humidity in your house. You want a thick batter but just thin enough to be able to dip your dogs.
- Put a toothpick in the end of each wiener third and toss in the flour until coated so your batter sticks.
- Then dip each dog in the batter holding the toothpick end, you may need a spoon to help get it on the top where your fingers are but that’s ok. Then pop them in the oil.
- Make sure to just do these in batches so you don’t reduce the temperature of your frying oil too much. Fry until golden brown, this usually takes 3-5 minutes depending on how hot your oil is but you want to make sure you get those fry bubbles when you put them in there at first.
- After they’ve cooled, I pop the toothpicks out so no one gets a splinter but you can certainly leave them in there too.
- Enjoy!
